The first round of the WFA Super League kicked off for the 40s, 50s and 60s at Oxstalls Sports Arena in Gloucester. Teams representing the regions of the North West, South West, South East, Central and the newly formed North East came together to compete in what is also a celebration of women's walking football. As well as the regional team prize, the competition provides a player pathway to the WFA England team.

There were plenty of smiles and a feeling of camaraderie among the players from the different regions. Chocolates were kindly donated to all the teams by the North West side and much appreciated by the other teams!

At the end of the first day, the North West topped the league tables for the O60s and O40s with the South East and Central in second place in those respective leagues. In the O50s, the South East came out on top with the North West a close second.

There's still all to play for in the next round.
